About the Unit

The Supply Department is part of the Logistics Unit whose mission is to provide logistics support, primarily in material and supply procurement as well as technical services to the units in the Karlsborg garrison. The majority of the staff are civilian employees, but there is also military personnel.

The overall work at the Supply Department involves carrying out orders/purchases, receiving, inventory management/storage handling, and packing/distribution of materials/supplies to operations within the Armed Forces. To support our material accounting and work with technical maintenance, we use the digital systems SAP-PRIO and LIFT. All staff participate in the development of the workplace and improvement of work methods.

Main Responsibilities

The position primarily focuses on goods reception and order support/loading based on transport needs. The section is also responsible for ordering consumables, supplying special food items, receiving hazardous waste, and coordinating operational waste. We support each other, which means that varying support within and between the sections' work areas also occurs. This means that you will continuously work with different forms of material handling and contact with our unit customers. The work is physically varied and heavy lifting occurs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious

• Relevant computer skills and good ability to handle Office programs
• Current experience in administrative work
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Current experience from working in a logistics environment/warehouse or service profession
• Good skill in operating a forklift

Other

Travel in service for short periods occurs for both work and personal training. Since both the position and the tasks are linked to a war organization, you will also be war-placed in our logistics organization as a civilian employee. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you in a heightened state of readiness/crisis/war.

Employment form: Permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period if you are not already employed within the authority.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and effective units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion.

The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be the first on-site during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
